Cooper
Cooper has been our facility "Pup" since he was 7weeks old, and started his
"on the job" training on May 3rd, 2010. Residents, Staff, Family and Friends
of Franciscan Villa have watched Cooper grow, and grow, (from 8lbs to 75lbs.)
and learn the ropes of being a "facility dog".
Cooper loves all of his friends that he visits with everyday, playing fetch,
getting treats of fresh apples, tomatoes, and peanut butter and loves visiting
with the children from CDC on a regular basis. He knows that his most important
job duty is to make everyone smile and is the official greeter of the Villa.
Cooper knows that he has an important place here at the Villa and is working hard
to fill the shoes of "Buddy", our first facility dog.
Cooper started training at 8 weeks of age with Puppy Manners Class,
and successfully completed Basic Obedience I, and Basic Obedience II classes.
In July 2011, Cooper successfully completed the 6 week AKC Canine Good Citizen Program,
and he is proud to be an official "CGC" dog.
If you haven't had a chance to meet "Cooper", please stop by next time you are at FV,
Cooper can usually be found in the activity room Monday through Friday, where he shares
office space with the activity staff.
