Spirituality Services
Franciscan Villa is committed to honoring the different faith traditions
and diverse spiritualities of all our residents. Chaplain Ryan O'Rourke
serves as full-time chaplain providing spiritual care to
the residents at Franciscan Villa.
He studied philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and received his master's degree in pastoral care at St. Francis Seminary.Contact Chaplain Pedro at
414-570-5430. Chaplain O'Rourke is available Monday through Thursday
8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon.
A chaplain can help you and
your family if you are:
Feeling fearful, upset or worried
In need of counseling
Asking “Why me?”
Feeling sad
Desiring religious or spiritual practices (like prayer) of all
faiths and belief systems
In need of comfort
Trying to make sense of sickness or suffering
In need of hope
In need of nonjudgmental listening
In need of crisis intervention
In need of consultation on advance directives, end-of-life decisions
or ethical issues
A Chaplain can help you through:
Connection to clergy from all faith backgrounds
Listening
Prayer and other religious rituals
Sacred scriptures, religious writings and music
Consultation on important healthcare decisions
Help in finding a sense of hope or meaning or purpose
Connection to your own faith community
Pastoral visits are provided by the chaplain to all residents of
Franciscan Villa, Francis House, Franciscan Courts and Gardens.
The chaplain is also available for pastoral counseling, prayer,
hospital visitation and spiritual resourcing.
The Chaplaincy Department welcomes volunteers who would like to
help gather residents for Mass and assist during services.

Weekly Communion Services are held:
Monday and Wednesday 9:15 a.m.
(Franciscan Gardens)
Tuesday and Thursdays 12:30 p.m.
(Franciscan Villa)
Wednesday 10:15 a.m.
(Lead Unit)
Wednesday 1:30 p.m.
(Francis House)
Sunday Mass is held:
Franciscan Garden & Franciscan Villa at 10:30 a.m.
Holy Communion is available to residents in their rooms
who are not able to attend worship services or those who request
it during the week.
Nondenominational prayers services are held every Monday at 2 p.m. in the Gardens chapel.
